Significance - Distinction between "taxi" and "taxi".

The two are no different, both are used as means of transportation to get the passengers from one place to another. Although, the taxi could be more of an old use, as it can also mean one of the various horse-drawn carts, than does Hanse or Througham, especially one for contracting authorities..... reading this somewhere....

In the fog of our times, the distinction is wasted. This is the oldest type of rental car for horses and was known as a "taxi" (short for cabriolet). This name was retained when taxi companies switched to motorcycles equipped with a "taximeter" (which measures how far you had gone). They were referred to as "taxis". Throughout the United Kingdom, the use of the words'taxi' is used for those high roofed jet engines (also known as'black taxis'), and the use of the words'minicab' is used for those off-the-shelf automobiles which can be rented by chance.

At least in some parts of the UK a taxi can be called at the roadside, while a mini cab or rather a "private rental vehicle" has to be reserved (e.g. by telephone). Taxi's are subjected to a stricter permit. Today both concepts are blurry in reality, because almost all "taxis" are "taxis", abbreviated to "taxis".

To a certain degree, the differentiation remains, because the rental of a "city car" or something charged on an hourly or travel basis does not represent a "taxi" - technical - because it does not have a fixture connected to the motor and a watch that continuously charges the accrued ticket price according to travel times and distances.
