Any time, anywhere in Finland. The Finnish Taxi Owners Association started a major joint venture with us in 2014. It was an ambition to bring taxi rides into the new era in Finland. It resulted in a nationwide taxi ordering system called Validopilkku, which makes ordering a taxi with your smart phone simple and comfortable.

This app will search auto-locate the user's machine. Ordering a taxi is in most cases a question of touching a key. Order and taxi locations are refreshed in near-real time. Users can also pre-order a vehicle and rate it at the end of the journey.

In Finland there are a few taxi ordering centers, each with its own system architecture. Right from the start, subscribers were invited to exchange their experience with the CSR tool and express their opinions on how it should be further enhanced. There was a clear sense that the app would not be designed behind locked doors unless we listened to the end user and the full impact of the app could be felt.

To date, more than 2.5 million orders have been received with VALOPILKU from around 250 000 people. In addition, the review has proven to be a useful resource for information, not only for the app itself, but also for the taxi service in general. The focus of the designprocess was on the end consumers and their wishes and needs around the taxi-drive.
