Greenspoint passes VIP configuration to 777-200LR

Cookie, remove this check or click "Close" US transactions, the Greenpoint Technologies has supplied a VIP-configured Boeing 777-200LR to the Crystal Cruises travel agency. Crystal Skye, the tailor-made airplane, was officially launched on August 1, one year after Greenpoint began work on the wide-body airplane at its Moses Lake, Washington plant.

Previously in use commercially by the airline Air Austral in France, the 777 (P4-XTL) is described by Crystal as "the world's biggest private touring aircraft" capable of flying non-stop for more than 19 hours. From September, Crystal Skye will be available for charters and will be administered by the renowned airline Comlux Aviation as part of an Aruban operating license.

The Greenpoint executives VP Bret Neely says that the objective of the renovation has been to provide a luxury and practical Crystal styled cabin environment. Greenpoint says a seperate lounging area with bars, couches, dining table and other quality detail. Greenpoint says that the plane will be ready for delivery in early 2018 and that the completion of the pilot is scheduled for the end of the year.

As a result, the number of VIP Dreamliner remodeling orders placed with Greenpoint will increase to six - five -8s and one -9. In 2016, the airline transferred the world's first VVIP-configured -8 to its privately owned operator and is currently working on four more planes. So far Boeing has a turnover of 10 BBJ 787 - eight -8s and a couple -9s - of which it has supplied seven.
